A Bench As A Housewarming Gift?

My brother recently got married to his beloved wife and they moved to their place which was about 25 minutes from ours. As like all new houses, they organized a housewarming party for all their friends and families. As we were also invited, dad thought it was more appropriate that we bought them a new house warming gift. We thought high and low for ideas on what to get them but came up with none. And then it struck mum, she thought it would be great to get them a new bench for their front porch.

As we now know what to get for the newly weds, the job now was to find the most suitable and economical one. After much searching and Googling, we stumbled upon a company by the name of Teak Garden Furniture which seems to be specializing in teak wood furniture. They have a wide variety of furniture sets such as Dining Furniture, Tables, Chairs, Parasols, Hammocks and Teak Benches! We immediately browsed through their selections of teak benches and the first thing which came to mind when we saw them was their pricing. It was considerably cheaper than the ones sold in other furniture outlets and the fact that it was made of teak wood enticed us even further. We ended up selecting the Bali Bench as our gift as mum thought it looked the best aesthetically.

The bench arrived from Garden Furniture in about 1 week, all fully assembled and ready to be used. When we presented our gift to my brother and his wife, they were simply stunned as they were expecting something smaller like a television, kettle, oven or anything of that nature. They were definitely not expecting a porch bench! Nevertheless, they were ecstatic with our gift as it graced their house just perfectly.
